just like ford says they have the best quality
even though hondas last longer and have the best resale value

i've never seen Ford say that on their commercials. i read that in car and driver and consumer reports.

hmmm
ford really needs to focus on their cars since gas is never gonna go down much
they have started to focus on the cars and "hybrids" but it maybe too late

i don't see how it can ever be to late, unless oil prices magically go down to $80 a barrel within a week.

i wouldn't say they are behind, they just aren't the brightest on where they market. Ford for instances produces different cars everywhere, which hurts them because some of the cars they produce in Europe and Australia could do really good here.
Ford has announced that they are going to start a new image, where Ford produces just one line of cars. this will mean that maybe we will finally get some of those nicer cars.

yeah what i meant by behind was Ford and GM's refusal to let go of their trucks and SUVs when the market was obviously turning against SUVs
thats why they are now struggling

people still buy trucks and SUV's, both just need to realize that they need to cut how many they produce. the new Crossovers are a good solution. they offer more space than a car, but offer better MPG than an SUV.

yeah but their sales are way down on fullsized SUVs and you cant trade them in
Ford's commercials say their quality is equal to toyota not better

the fact is that Ford's quality is way better than in the past, and if they continue, their cars will begin to hold better resale value.

i read an article in Newsweek today that was saying that the Honda Civic is now the top selling car in America passing the Ford F-series

i thought the the toyota Corolla was the best selling vehicle. F-series have always been best selling trucks, there is a difference.
