most wanted to stay away from weather names because the said it was a negative image for Oklahoma.

nothing, just most associate weather with negative, and apparently that's what they were trying to stray away from.

pretty much. they just need to announce the name so people can start getting used to it. before long they will forget they hate it and embrace it.
